Geomatics Center was established on March 29th 2005 thanks to the Decision of VNU-HCMC President, No 317/QĐ-ĐHQG-TCCB. Geomatics Center belongs to Information Techlogy Park (IT Park) and its main activities are in the field of Remote Sensing, GIS, GPS, Digital Photogrammetry, Survey and Mapping ... and develop Space Technology applications in urban management and planning, natural resources management and environment monitoring

FUNCTIONS

• Scientific research, developing applications, providing services, training and technology transferring.

• Building and carrying out Programs and Projects in cooperation with local or international organizations.

• Developing and applying technologies to make key products using for managing natural resources and environment, preventing disasters and socio- economic development.

FACILITIES

Fully equipped with modern facilities assuring a comfortable working environment for doing scientific research, project development and training. In the cooperation with INFORMATION & SCIENCE TECHNO-SYSTEM CO., LTD ( ISTS Co.,Ltd Japan), Geomatics Center is supported modern equipments for doing research projects in the field of Space Technology application.
